Two tiers, one track

Drive it yourself, or teach it to drive.

Teams race 1:10-scale cars on a purpose-built circuit. Pick the tier that fits your team.

TIER 01

COCKPIT

كوكبيت · القيادة اليدوية
  • A human driver races the car by radio control.
  • Build and tune the car, then find the fastest line.
  • Qualifying against the clock, then head-to-head finals with a Joker Lap.
TIER 02

AUTONOMA

أوتونوما · القيادة الذاتية
  • No driver. The car drives itself with its own onboard computer and sensors.
  • Your software maps the track and chooses the line.
  • A moving obstacle tests how the car reacts.

FAQ

Questions.

Who can enter?

Anyone: students from any university, graduates and professionals. Mixed teams are welcome, and so are JUST students.

Do we need a car already?

No, but you will need one by race week. Teams buy their own vehicle and parts. The Academy shows you what to get and how to build it.

We have no racing or robotics experience. Can we still enter?

Yes. The JAGP Academy runs from November to January and covers what you need for your tier. See the courses.

How much does it cost?

60 JOD per team, 50 JOD if some members are IEEE RAS members, and 40 JOD if all of them are. Your car and parts are extra.

Are there prizes?

Yes, in each tier. Details will be announced with the sponsors.

Where exactly is it?

Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Irbid. The hall will be confirmed here.
